The Chicaiza Family Visit

When Danika served with OSSO 4 years ago she lived with the Chicaiza family. They are the Directors of OSSO's work in Quito.
Last week they came to Cuenca and stayed with us in our Apartment. It was sooooo much fun. We spent Saturday touring downtown Cuenca which included every eating popsicles to racing up a huge flight of stairs on Calle Larga. Saturday night we played pass the pigs. Each turn involves one player throwing two model pigs, each of which has a dot on one side only. The player will have points either given or taken away, based on the way the pigs land. Each turn lasts until the player throwing either rolls the pigs in a way that wipes out their current turn score or decides to stop their turn, add their turn score to their total score and pass the pigs to the next player. The winner is the first player to score a total of 100.

Here is Lee examining the pigs to defend his score.

Jared and Maibe passing the pigs ( Maibe was a May baby and that is why she is named Maibe)

Out to dinner with the Chicaiza and the Roseros.
